Bagad Bro Kervignag Bagad du Pays de Kervignac
A bagad is an orchestra-like music band inspired by the Scottish pipe band, performing tunes most often from the traditional Breton repertoire. It is composed of three groups: Scottish bagpipes, bombardes, snare drums and percussion. We can play on musical concert and diferents events, in complete bagad, small group or in traditional couple of players.
It finds its historical origin in the tradition of popular breton music players in 19th century.
Our bagad was born at Port-Louis in 1996.
He later settled in Kervignac under the name of Bagad Bro Kervignag

Composed of around 25 musicians, he is keen to share his passion for Breton and Celtic music in Brittany and beyond.
in collaboration with one of Ireland oldest pipe bands and works on cultural and musical projects.
The bagad is determined to transmit his Breton culture in his music school with the help of Sonerion 56.
(Referent association of Breton music).
This association involves professional music teachers on a weekly basis.
The members of the formation are proud to evolve within their bagad and to represent the territory composed of the communes of Nostang, Ste Hélène sur mer, Merlevenez, Plouhinec and Kervignac.
The bagad is present at various festivals such as Lorient festival, Cornwall festival .....
and at local events taking place in Morbihan
